Boys Fort to Close, Everything Must Go

Boys Fort to Close, Everything Must Go

BOYS FORT, Portland’s best men’s boutique and a destination for tourists as well as Portlanders, has announced that it will close its downtown store for good after August 1st. The store will be open from 11am-4pm every day through August 1st in order to hold a closing sale.

For the last two years, Propeller has overseen book sales at the store in partnership with the store’s owner, Jake France. Books at Boys Fort will be 50% off during the closing sale. A selection of titles are also available for sale in the “Boys Fort Book Sale” section of the Propeller Books website.

The downtown Boys Fort is objectively the greatest retail experience Portland will ever know. That is just a journalistic fact. The store will never be duplicated because it was a labor of love. This is just one section of what will no longer exist:

Here is a quick shot of one part of the books section, which it was a privilege to build and shape over the last few years, the store’s book buyer stated in type as he typed this.

Anyone interested in cool, fun, and fantastic books for 50% off—as well as all sorts of other cool, fun, and fantastic stuff—should come down while you can. Boys Fort is located at 1001 SW Morrison Street in Portland, Oregon.
