Propeller is an independent press run by a group of writers and editors interested in creating well designed books of high literary merit. The press does not take submissions. In the course of their work lives, our editors read, write, speak, or otherwise collaborate with many other writers, designers, and artists. Propeller Books exists to publish the work of these writers and others we admire.
Like many of our publishing partners, Propeller publishes and promotes one title per year—we believe that a small but
high-quality catalog can have a surprisingly large impact. We're happy to correspond with readers and writers. You can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. You may email questions about orders or products to email@example.com.
Propeller, our online journal, is a literature, film, art, and culture magazine that includes original fiction, poetry, criticism, and essays; interviews with writers, musicians, and artists; and various hard-hitting puff pieces or targeted ephemera.
Adelina Film & Art Books, our sister project, is downtown Portland's boutique film and art bookstore. You can visit the store at its location inside of Boys Fort, 902 SW Morrison Street, Portland, Oregon.
Readers and writers who would like to contact our publishing partners may do so via the publishers' individual sites:
We post news and updates for both our magazine and our press through a single facebook page and twitter account.
